Vaseem Khan: Quantum of Menace

Vaseem Khan is the author of two award-winning crime series set in India, the Baby Ganesh Agency series set in modern Mumbai, and the Malabar House historical crime novels set in 1950s Bombay. He is a firm favourite with Yeovil Literary Festival go-ers. He's got something very different to talk about...

Vaseem will be launching the first book in his new James Bond spin-off mystery series led by the Head of Q Branch himself, Major Boothroyd. Quantum of Menace centres on an older version of the beloved character Q from the original Ian Fleming series, most recently brought to life on screen by Ben Whishaw.

After Q is unexpectedly ousted from his role with British Intelligence developing technologies for MI6's 00 agents, he finds himself back in his sleepy hometown of Wickstone-on-Water. His childhood friend, a renowned quantum computer scientist, has died in mysterious circumstances, leaving behind a cryptic note. Q feels compelled to investigate, can he decode the truth behind his friend's death?

This event will take place in Wheeldon Suites 2 & 3.
