Access For All

Everyone is welcome at Westlands Entertainment Venue and we will do whatever we can to ensure you have an enjoyable visit. Staff are available to help, so please ask us if you need any assistance. To ensure any special requirements you have are met, we ask that all patrons who use a wheelchair, are registered disabled or have specific seating or access requests contact the Box Office direct. For this reason wheelchair spaces and disabled concessions are not available through online booking.

Essential Companion Scheme

We recognise that some customers with disabilities may require the services of a helper or friend to enjoy the facilities offered at the venue. This person - the friend or helper - is designated as an ‘Essential Companion’. We are happy to offer free/reduced price seats to ‘Essential Companions’ to enable our customers with disabilities to visit our venues.

The scheme is not open to, or intended for, those who simply require assistance with transportation to The Octagon Theatre. An ‘Essential Companion’ is somebody who is able to help the individual with a disability to use and enjoy the services of The Octagon Theatre, as well as ensuring their safety and wellbeing.

As The Octagon Theatre is a publicly funded organisation, we require either the person with a disability or their appointed representative to complete an Essential Companion Scheme form and provide photo ID and proof of entitlement. You can find a downloadable version of this form at the bottom of this page.

FREE TICKET FOR ESSENTIAL COMPANION:
Available to those in receipt of the higher rate of Disability Living Allowance(care or mobility component), the higher rate of Attendance Allowance, the enhanced rate of the Personal Independence Payment (daily living or mobility component), the Armed Forces Independence Payment or for those who hold a Certificate of Visual Impairment or are registered blind.

50% PRICE REDUCTION ON ADULT TOP PRICE TICKET FOR ESSENTIAL COMPANION:
Available to those in receipt of the middle rate the care component of Disability Living Allowance, the lower rate of Attendance Allowance or the standard rate of the daily living component of Personal Independence Payment.

We regret that if you, or the relevant member of your party, are receiving any other form of benefit than those listed you do not qualify for this scheme and so will not be eligible for complimentary/reduced price tickets.

Facilities
We provide the following access facilities at our venue (as reported by Access for All Solutions):

• Excellent parking with 14 Accessible parking spaces
• Accessible toilets
• Level access throughout to all ground floor facilities
• Infra-red hearing loops
• Excellent internal circulation areas

Our Wheeldon Suites, Ballroom and Lounge Bar are fully accessible and there is an accessible toilet located on the ground floor.

Please note our Parish Suite is on the first floor and is not served by a lift. There is no accessible toilet on the first floor.
