James Purefoy has been seen in over 300 hours of television, 36 feature films, 27 theatre plays, 22 radio plays, 7 short films, 3 music videos and a commercial.
He has travelled far and wide in his pursuit of interesting parts from the slums of Quito in Ecuador to the frozen North, from the jungles of the Eastern Cape to the sweatbox that is the Louisiana Bayou. He has covered pretty much every genre known from zombie movies to period dramas, dystopian worlds to high-concept action thrillers, from Euripedes to Shakespeare, Noel Coward to Bertold Brecht, Edward the Black Prince to the leader of the Cornish folk group Fishermans Friends. He is currently playing his 10th King in Amazon‘s new version of Robin Hood. He clearly knows a thing or two about being an actor and has got the stories to prove it.
In conversation with Alice Wilson, the evening will consist of listening to James talk about his life and times followed by an opportunity to ask your own questions.
