A masterclass for individuals interested in applying for drama school’s or an organisation that requires entry by audition eg. National Youth Theatre or a local acting course.
This is an in-person evening event, you will come with a short contemporary monologue to work on in a group environment. The class is designed for undergraduates who have not yet undergone formal training in acting or studied at university.
By the end of the workshop you will;
• Understand how to prepare ahead of an audition and tips for on the day.
• Understanding what it means to go to drama school or similar actor training.
• Gain key skills and techniques in preparing and performing an audition piece.
• Direction on your chosen monologue and advice on material choice.
Practitioner: Anthony trained at East 15 Acting School, he’s a multi-skilled artist and producer. As a performer he’s performed in major London venues like the Barbican Theatre. As a young performer he was a member of the National Youth Theatre aged 14 and musically directed their 50th anniversary in Trafalgar Square. Anthony lectures in Drama Schools and Universities on BA acting courses and has a vast understanding of the entry process from participating in it to being a panel member for Drama Schools and as a Producer. Anthony was taught by renown audition technique coach Simon Dunmore (The late author of ‘The Actors Guide To Getting Work’).
